Specialized Niche
Services
AET Environmental provides specialized niche services geared toward
sustainable environmental programming. These services include RCRA,
TSCA and radiological waste management with an emphasis on "green"
management, product regeneration, recycling, waste to energy,
co-generation of energy, metals reclamation, treatment and
beneficial reuse.
An expertise in low-level nuclear and mixed waste
management includes preparing work plans that are reviewed and
approved by state environmental agencies.
We determine and in some cases provide
specifications for appropriate packaging (Type A, IP-I, etc.),
decontaminate surface contaminated objects (SCO), prepare import and
export permits and facility use permits in accordance with state or
compact requirements, calculate isotopic activities for preparation
of low-level waste manifests (Forms 540, 541, and 542), and assume
Broker of Record status.
The industrial cleaning division works with
utilities, mines, the oil and gas industry and
chemical manufacturers, performing tank
cleaning (including associated piping), trench and sand trap pump
outs, sewer cleaning and camera work, emergency response and removal
of contaminated ground water. AET owns and operates equipment such
as a rubber-lined tanker for transport of highly corrosive
materials, vacuum tankers for transport of bulk liquids, roll-offs,
box vans, and other utility vehicles for transportation and
intra-facility movement.
AET responds to chemical emergencies accurately and
within reasonable time frames.
The technical team removes the hazardous
material from the environment and assists in discussions with
regulatory agencies.
The team also inspects the site to determine
whether restoration is needed, collect samples and if necessary
decontaminates a facility.
AET offers DOT, EPA and OSHA training programs
tailored to the needs of your company.
Other environmental compliance audits are
performed to assist federal agencies, commercial, industrial,
manufacturing and health care facilities in meeting air, water and
waste regulations.
Our program evaluates client operations and
addresses areas that should be modified to comply with regulations.
In conjunction with these reviews AET provides
clients the opportunity to have in-house employee training taught by
qualified instructors on a monthly or quarterly basis.
Together with teaming subcontractors AET operates the
Avian Hazard Advisory System for the US Air Force, which tracks the
risk of bird aircraft strike hazards.
We have also prepared Environmental
Assessments, Environmental Impact Statements, Biological
Assessments, and other plans that comply with land use regulations
including National Environmental Policy Act, Endangered Species Act,
Clean Water Act, Clean Air Act, and wetlands.
Dedicated to applying sound management, scientific and regulatory
principles tempered with keen business judgment and common sense,
AET is a unique single-source firm for your environmental
challenges.
