Facility Closures
AET Environmental has utilized its depth of talent to
implement effective site closure, decommissioning and demolition (D&D)
plans. Site decontamination is an essential component of a facility
closure or restoration, making reuse a viable option. AET manages and
provides oversight on D&D projects for clients with diversified needs,
devising work plans based on historical site use and client
requirements. D&D requirements may include tasks such as cleaning and
decontamination of electrical and HVAC systems, laboratories, corrosive
chemical rooms, flammable storage areas, laboratory benches and
cabinets, disassembling white rooms, plating lines, and air movers,
disposal of plating baths and other chemicals, scabbling concrete
floors, and excavating contaminated soil from heavily stained work
areas. Work plans and site specific safety plans are developed,
confirmation sampling is performed both before and after
decontamination to ensure compliance with performance objectives. AET
has built a strong reputation in performing these projects with a proven
track record.
